Bio Assignment
This is a video of an aspect about you (you can also use video)...it could be your environment, yourself, your clothes, or something about you.

Try not to include your face in the video. In addition there should be a voiceover/audio track to match the photo/video. 60 seconds max!

Export the video as an MPEG-4 (H264) and post on your blip blog site and email link to instructor.

Documentary Assignment
Create a NO MORE THAN 2 MINUTE documentary of something. MAKE IT ARTISTIC.

Hand in the file saved as a full quality QT on a CD ROM labled with:
1. your name
2. date
3. title
4. "553 Documentary "
written on the CD.


Export the video as an MPEG-4 (H264) and post on your blog site, email link to instructor.

Art Statement

Especially in the arts, we must be able to talk about what we do. It is in the process of talking (or writing) that will give meaning to ourselves and others.

Submit to: dvplace@gmail.com a brief statement of what you hope your work will achieve as art...why are you an artist. This is a more general statement than your Final Artist Statement.

Put "Art Statement" and your name in the subject line.

These statements will be posted on the art statement blog. Please indicate if you DO NOT want your name to be submitted with this statement within the email.

Final

Produce NO MORE than a 2-minute production on a topic of your choice OR the ample rework of your documentary project.

Make it interesting and artistic.

Hand in a CD ROM (Full DV Quality)

Post to your vlog site.

Your QuickTime must include:
3 second title, with your name

2 second copyright statement at end.

Your CD-ROM must include:
A full quality QT on a CD ROM labled with:
